I don’t own an iPhone and my Windows phone has a really awful camera. I have one DSLR, a Canon EOS 40D, which I refer to as my Black Brick with two zoom lenses, 28-135mm and 75-300mm. I took a few design and art classes in college (in ancient times), but my Associate’s Degree was in Drafting Technology, before CAD, when everything was drawn by hand. As far as digital art goes, I began seeing other people’s work online and wanted to be able to create similar things myself. Lyle’s gorgeous fractals have deservedly won much recognition on that site, and his landscape photos are quite simply breathtaking. I also ran across Lyle on Pixoto, a site where artists compete weekly to be top in their respective categories. No doubt in one of the Facebook Fractal groups, likely the Mandelbulb Maniacs or Frax group, as both of us enjoy working with these two, very different, applications.
